Seahawks Reacts Survey: Can Kenneth Walker end Seattle’s ‘No 100-yard rusher’ streak?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year, we ask the most plugged-in fans and Seahawks fans across the country.

One of these days, the Seattle Seahawks defense will allow a 100-yard rusher again. James Cook of the Buffalo Bills was the last to hit the century mark, rushing for 111 yards and a score in a 31-10 rout at Lumen Field. It’s been 35 games in a row by the mostly exemplary Seahawks defense since October 2024, but this week presents their toughest challenge… and yet their most familiar.

Kenneth Walker III is showing he can be an undisputed RB1 with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Super Bowl MVP leads the NFL in rushing with 665 yards, which is more than the entire Seahawks rushing attack combined. He averaged more than six yards per carry and just failed to crack the 100-yard mark once in five games. He will now go up against a stingy Seahawks run defense, albeit one that is a little behind last year in terms of giving up explosive runs.

So… will it happen? Will K9 be the one to crack Seattle’s vaunted defense? Or will the Seahawks defense find a way to shut down their former teammate? Keep in mind that if the Seahawks, for example, jumped out to a 31-3 lead in the first half and the Chiefs generally had no choice but to keep throwing the ball, Walker could become a non-factor by sheer circumstances in the game script. Alternatively, if the Seahawks’ sick addiction to turnovers doesn’t stop and the game goes the other way, K9 could feast even more as the Chiefs continue to run the ball relentlessly.

Your other question is the weekly confidence poll, which I think will only continue to tank until the Seahawks win again.

Each week of the season, we’ll ask fans if they think the team is moving in the right direction. This allows us to monitor the level of confidence in the fan base throughout the season and analyze what events have the greatest impact on fan support.
