After his team lost the game, Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson lost his cool and punched Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb.
After the game, as Chubb spoke with players on both teams near midfield, Jackson approached him and they briefly exchanged blows before Jackson threw a right hook to Chubb’s jaw. Chubb wasn’t fazed afterward.
“Just emotion, you know what I mean? Emotional game, it’s a close game,” Chubb told the California Post. “They were always catching the second guy, so I let him swing, and then my teammates stopped me, and it just took me out cold.”
Chubb was also seen talking to Rams defensive end Myles Garrett on the field, but when asked if the two exchanged words, Chubb said there were no issues.
“Just the whole team. Like I said, it was an emotional game. Tempers flared,” Chubb said. “But it is what it is. We’ve flushed it and next week.”
Chubb did not mention Jackson by name in his postgame interview.
“Someone swung, but hey, I’m not at liberty to say who,” Chubb said. “There’s cameras there. All I know, you know what I’m saying, I’m just ready for next week.”
Asked if he was OK, Chubb said he was fine.
“I’m just ready for next week,” he said. “You see me, I’m smiling, I’m with my team. I’ll prepare for next week.”
Whether Jackson plays or is suspended next week remains to be seen.
