A month ago we announced the release of our new app, which you can find here or by searching for SB Nation in your neighborhood app store. Many of you have downloaded it in the past month and are already using it.
The goal with this app is to make it easier to join the community, and specifically comment, read comments, and create your own posts, as well as keeping all community posts – front page articles, Feed posts from you – front and center.
The results so far are encouraging. In fact, it helped us set a new all-time record for comments this month across the entire SB Nation community, and I want to thank you for that.
One of the most exciting new features is game chat. This makes it easier to follow along with the barrage of comments that come in during games and goes to the heart of why many of you spend time in our community. Comments load faster and notifications when someone replies to your comments and Feed posts create a more fun experience you won’t find anywhere else.
We also want to raise community contributions by placing your Feed posts within a stream with all other articles from the site. To that end, more people see your posts and more people comment on them. In fact, we’ve set single-day commentary records three different times since the season began.
And if you’d rather just read our traditional front page articles, there’s an option above to do that.
So, one month to go, thanks for making it part of your routine. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can get it for iOS or Android. And if you don’t use the app, that’s OK! We’re happy for you to comply in whatever way feels most comfortable to you.
