It’s time to take a look at some of the biggest winners and losers from Sunday’s Week 7 action.
It’s a big day for running football, and a big day for Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
NFL Week 7 winners
Joe Burrow, quarterback, Cincinnati Bengals. It wasn’t good for the Bengals at halftime as they went into the break trailing the Baltimore Ravens by 13 points. Things got better in the second half as they came out with 35 unanswered points, led by four Burrow touchdown passes. It helped the Bengals get a big win in the AFC North and stay a half game behind the top spot.
Jaylen Warren, running back, Pittsburgh Steelers. Warren could make a case for himself to be the NFL’s offensive player of the year. He topped 125 yards from the scrimmage mark for the fourth time this season, tying him with Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker for the most in the NFL so far this season. He is their best playmaker and the offense works best when it goes through him. It worked again in their 16-10 win over the New Orleans Saints.
Devin Singletary, running back, New York Giants. Quarterback JJ McCarthy and running back Cam Skattebo could also get into the winner column, but Singletary’s walk-off touchdown catch, in overtime, against his former team in a 27-21 win over the Houston Texans was enough to give him top billing for the 4-2-1 (and first-place) Giants.
