Donald Trump plans to attend the NFL Week 6 game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.
It looks like the upcoming Week 6 game between the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Steelers may be attended by President Donald Trump, who has been making the rounds of late.
Just weeks after attending the Tennessee-Texas college football game, the president is reportedly planning to travel to Tampa to watch the Bucs’ next game.
CNN Senior White House Correspondent Kristen Holmes reports that Trump is “expected to attend” the Buccaneers’ upcoming game at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 18.
He was last in a Steelers game nearly two years ago in the 2024 season when they played the New York Jets. Ironically, Aaron Rodgers was on the Jets at the time.
The upcoming Week 6 matchup is important for both teams. The Buccaneers are coming off their first win of the season, defeating the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. They did that with undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels under center. He filled in for the injured Baker Mayfield. If the Bucs want to make a run for the division, they need to win this one.
Meanwhile, the Steelers bounced back from a close loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 4. They defeated the Indianapolis Colts 34-22 in Week 5.
Rodgers has been on a tear of late. He has thrown three touchdowns in each of the last three games. He has 10 total this season against four interceptions. Rodgers is also 11th in the NFL in passing yards with 1,234.
Trump has been making the rounds in various sports this year. He embarrassingly attended the New York Knicks’ only loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals in June 2026. Fortunately, the Knicks won the next two games to win their first championship in 53 years. The Bucs hope he doesn’t carry the same result in their home game against the Steelers on Sunday.
