New York Jets News: NYJ Listed as Sellers Ahead of NFL Trade Deadline

The NFL trade deadline is November 10. The New York Jets are 2-6. Guess what? They are sellers! At least, that’s the opinion of The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt, who labeled the Jets as such.

“It’s not going to be at the level it was a year ago. The Jets don’t need to trade any of their star players. Garrett Wilson recently said he didn’t plan to ask for a trade — and there really isn’t much logic to trading him for a team that wants to add a rookie quarterback to the offense next year and already has plenty of cap space and draft capital,” Rosenblatt.

“The sale of the Jets is more likely to be on a smaller scale, with veterans who don’t project as future pieces for a rebuilding team,” Rosenblatt explained.

This is the right decision. If players don’t have long-term futures with the Jets, they should flip them for future capital. Get rid of this thing and make this job more attractive for the next NYJ HC.

Don’t touch the young pieces with the upside you believe. Teams can call up those players, and you have every right to call up Darren Mougey, but others should be available at the right price.
