New York Jets News: Eli Manning endorses QB Arch Manning to Jets

Usually, when we talk about mock drafts for the New York Jets in October, it’s for an obviously bad reason. However, today’s discussion will debunk a silly narrative that people have been peddling for months, if not years.

Arch Manning is a talented quarterback prospect who could be available in the 2027 NFL Draft. With the Jets recently being terrible and having multiple first-round picks, there was a chance for a moment that these two could join forces.

Whenever that conversation is brought up, a lot of people are quick to say that it would never happen because the Manning family wouldn’t allow it. Interesting.

Well, when Uncle Eli Manning was asked where he would like his nephew to play football at the NFL level, he brought up the green and white.

“There are two ways I look at it,” Manning said via Grace McCarron of the New York Post. “For purely selfish reasons, I wouldn’t mind if he went to the [New York] Jets, just because I live there, I can go to the games, I can spend a little bit of the week with him. I think it would be nice for him to have some family nearby, so I wouldn’t mind him going to the Jets, being in New York…that’s just my selfish reason, and I think he can help them.”

Well, well, well, isn’t that a fun plot twist. So it seems like if the Jets are in a position to select young Manning, there aren’t any roadblocks to making that happen.

I’m not sure how the LOL Jets will take this one, but…

Full stop. The New York Jets are one of, if not the best, landing spots for a young quarterback next year. Their roster is overflowing with offensive talent, great pieces on the offensive line, pass catchers, running backs, and everything in between.

If Manning or any other QB prospect lands in the green and white, they have a path to immediate victory. We haven’t been able to say that in a long time.
