In a new 2027 mock draft, Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski believes the Jaguars could draft another edge rusher to add to their already strong duo in Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker.
“The Jacksonville Jaguars offense is capable of building early leads and needs a complementary defense to harass trailing opponents. Adding another edge-rusher may be seen as counterintuitive after the franchise’s investments in Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker. However, Walker can be a wrecking ball when the rest of the guards are reduced, while Botrecarubage is in the Travon Walker sub-package. explosive, upfield edge-rusher.”
An elite pass rush is one of the biggest factors in building a championship defense. That usually means having three impact players who can rush the passer. While there may be other needs for the Jaguars come April, you just never know how the board will fall and the Jaguars are on pace to pick somewhere in the mid-to-late 20s. Adding a player at a premium position late is always great value.
