Confidence of the leader’s fans

The Chiefs Kingdom’s confidence level dropped dramatically after the Week 7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Before the ugly showing, Chiefs fans had not let the confidence meter dip below 89% since the start of the season.

We asked Chiefs Kingdom this week if the Chiefs need to invest in trading for a new wide receiver before the NFL’s Nov. 10 trade deadline. A whopping 75% of you answered yes, the Chiefs need pass-catching help added to their roster.

With injuries to Tyquan Thornton and Rashee Rice, a lot has been put on Xavier Worthy, and I think it’s fair to say that he hasn’t exactly exceeded expectations so far. As a result, the Chiefs have been forced to rely on unproven guys like Jalen Royals and Cyrus Allen to try to help carry the load.

If last week’s loss to Seattle indicated anything, it’s that Kansas City currently has a talent deficit at receiver. So it’s no surprise that unconfirmed rumors abound that the Chiefs are making calls around the league about possible trade candidates. What the Chiefs are willing to give up to make a trade happen is a big unknown.
We have a little over a week to see if any of this comes to fruition. But at least we know where the fans stand.
