The Texas-sized showdown of the Houston Texans (0-3) against the Dallas Cowboys (1-2) is more exciting on paper than in reality. These two teams have struggled out of the gate and will be desperate to turn their seasons around in Week 4.
FanDuel has you covered whether you’re from Texas or just looking for some extra action this weekend. Below is the Spread, Moneyline, and Over/Under heading into the game against Dallas.

The Spread: Texans -2.5
Considering the Texans are 0-3 and haven’t looked good on offense since the first half of the first game of the season, this is an impressive streak. I can’t imagine Reliant Stadium will be rocking. If anything, this could be a stadium that turns the team on quickly if they fall behind. The Cowboys, though 1-2 entering the contest, scored 20, 37, and 31 points. Houston has yet to prove it can move the ball against even the weakest of defenses, as seen against the Colts, which is no good against a potent offense.
Until the Texans win a game, take the opponent and the extra points for insurance.
Moneyline: Texans -136
The Texans are 3-4 all-time against the Cowboys. Given their recent struggles and the lack of anything expected to change, it’s hard to believe the Texans could steal a win against the Cowboys.
What will be interesting to watch is if the defense can stop the Cowboys offense. Derek Stingley Jr. and Kamari Lassiter were unimpressed and concerned when they were paired against CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. At this stage of the seasons, it’s hard to believe that the Texans will outright beat an opponent. Wait until they are, hopefully, in a role before hiring them directly.
Over/Under: 47.5
The Texans were good on the bottom line last week with a 44.5 mark against the Colts as well as a 45.5 mark against the Bengals, but managed to blow the Over/Under against the Bills in a high-scoring matchup. This Over/Under is up a bit compared to the previous two lines, likely due to the high-octane offense in Dallas. That said, Houston’s current offensive form doesn’t bode well for the passing game. If Nico Collins returns to the lineup, then passing is something to consider. Collins’ presence opens up the passing game and reduces pressure on the run.
The Cowboys defense has allowed a bunch of points so far. They gave up 28, 20, and 34 points in their three matches. Given how poor their defense is AND if Nico Collins is set to go on Sunday, then take the Over in a competitive and integral matchup between two teams vying to keep their seasons alive early in the 2026 campaign.
