Former NFL QB gives advice to Shedeur Sanders.
The Cleveland Browns are off to a good start with Deshaun Watson at the helm as the starting quarterback.
Cleveland had a quarterback battle between Watson and Sanders, and the veteran won the job. With the Browns playing well, Sanders’ future in Cleveland began to heat up, especially after he hired an agent.
Cleveland will host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
Former NFL QB Gives Advice to Shedeur Sanders

With Sanders’ future up in the air, a former NFL quarterback and now analyst gave him some advice.
Chris Simms, who has been in the NFL for eight years as a quarterback, offered advice to Sanders.
“I don’t see it either; I’m right there with you,” Simms said on Pro Football Talk. “I don’t think it’s like, ‘Oh, he’s going to try to do something before the trade deadline. What I’m going to tell him right now is, ‘Hey, just get ready where you are. You’re in a place where you know their offense has pretty positive vibes. The playcaller is pretty good. You’ve got a guy behind you who’s had an injury history for the last four or five years.”
Not only does Watson have a history of injuries, but he has struggled in the past, so Simms said Sanders needs to stay ready.
“Be ready when your time comes, ’cause if you make me a bet, you’ll have that time,” advises Simms. “It could be just one game, it could be a couple of quarters, I don’t know what’s going to happen, but be ready. It’s definitely better than going somewhere else, trying to learn the playbook. I don’t know if I fit in; do they all want me here? Oh, I’m out here. I’ve only been here 12 days, and now I’m not good at playing. Oh no, I’m not good. (Sanders), stay where you are now, and if you want to think about getting traded, go to the track that’s after the season.”
This is great advice from Simms to Sanders, as he believes he shouldn’t want to be traded this year and should ride out the rest of the season.
The Cleveland Browns are only preparing for the Ravens, not the QB
The Browns are set to host the Ravens, who could start Tyler Huntley again due to an injury to Lamar Jackson.
However, Jackson is not excluded, which makes it difficult to prepare for them. However, Browns head coach Todd Monken said they are only preparing for the Ravens and not the quarterback.
“I think you’re getting ready for the Ravens,” Monken said Wednesday. “I mean, that’s what you prepare for. They have a very good coaching staff, and I’ve been there before where we played Snoop (Tyler Huntley), and Snoop’s a great football player and won a lot of games as a starter. So, we’re going to prepare for the Ravens.”
The Browns are 3.5-point underdogs at home against Baltimore.
