Disappointing. It’s discouraging. Disheartening.
Many adjectives could describe the feelings after the (5-2) Kansas City Chiefs’ fourth-quarter collapse against the (6-2) Denver Broncos in Week 8, but the Chiefs Kingdom wasn’t alone in suffering a tough loss this weekend.
Before the Chiefs started late in the afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys blew a 24-10 lead in the fourth quarter against the Arizona Cardinals in front of the home fans at AT&T Stadium. Former Chiefs backup quarterback Gardner Minshew went back on the clock and delivered a vintage gunslinger performance to lead Arizona back to a 33-30 overtime win.
According to national fans in SB Nation’s ‘Reacts’ poll from Sunday, the Cowboys’ loss was the only loss more “crushing” than the Chiefs’ loss of the game and the division race in Denver.
The (4-4) Baltimore Ravens are in a close third place after a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills on the road; The heartbreaking part of the loss was the news that quarterback Lamar Jackson (thumb) may be out for the rest of the season.
Do you think the Chiefs are the worst loss in Week 8? Or does Dallas take the cake? Let us know in the comments.
