Panthers quarterback Bryce Young didn’t survive Sunday’s loss to the Browns, but he was moving cautiously after a sack in the first half and he’ll be going for some tests starting this week.
Head coach Dave Canales did not specify what part of the body Young injured when he was kicked on the play and said he thinks the quarterback will be fine for their Week 4 trip to Detroit, but he will do imaging to make sure nothing more happens.
“He’s in a bit of pain,” Canales said. “I think he took a cleat, I can’t remember exactly where. There was some soreness, he was able to fight through it. He finished. We are also looking at him, we’re making sure everything is right.”
Canales confirmed that the Panthers are set to lose cornerback Jaycee Horn an uncertain time of time due to a quad injury, so they’re hoping all will come back to Young with positive news.
