Nix struggled against a Chiefs defense that came in allowing the fewest points among QBs. He completed 25 of a season-high 42 passes for 214 yards and a TD, while adding 10 yards on the ground. It was his third finish outside of the QB1 range this season.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Misses Increase at QB1
Nix ranks 29th among all QBs with 5.9 adjusted yards per attempt heading into Week 4. That’s not a new struggle for him after he ranked 29th last season in adjusted yards per attempt.
Against the 49ers, his 5.6 adjusted yards per attempt only exacerbated the struggles, likely dropping even further in that ranking.
Because of last year’s sprained ankle, the third-year QB is now averaging a career-low 2.1 rushing points per game, making his lack of passing production even more noticeable.
Nix at least got his most favorable matchup in Week 5 against a Chargers defense that allowed the 11th most points among QBs entering the week.
