The Cincinnati Bengals will come out of their bye week with a 3-2 record and hopefully healthy, rested, and have all their kinks ironed out. They are 0-1 in the AFC North, having lost to the Steelers in Week 3, but will have a chance to even their division record in Week 7 when they travel to Baltimore to face the 4-2 Ravens.
The Ravens are coming off a loss of their own, dropping an ugly 13-10 loss to the Browns in Cleveland, but they are without two-time NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, who suffered a rare medial sprain of his left ankle in Week 4.
Jackson missed the entire week of practice before the Ravens’ Week 6 game and was ruled out before the game. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll be available against the Bengals, but his expected return is Week 7 or Week 8.
Right now, the Bengals enter their Week 7 game as a three-point underdog in Baltimore, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. It would make sense if Lamar were to play, considering the ups and downs we’ve seen from the Bengals offense and defense so far this season.
But if Tyler Huntley starts, the Bengals will likely be favored. If nothing else, the game will be closer to a pick ’em, so it seems the oddsmakers are hoping Lamar will suit up.
Hopefully, the bye week gave Cincinnati time to figure things out.
Stay tuned all week for updates on both the Bengals and Ravens ahead of their Week 7 matchup on Sunday in Baltimore.
