Dolphins/Vikings Coverage Map: Limited Late Window Viewing Again

I meant to do this earlier in the week, but we’re doing it now.

For the third time in the first four weeks of the season, our Minnesota Vikings are relegated to the final window of NFL coverage this week when they host the Miami Dolphins at US Bank Stadium. In fact, they are only late game on the FOX family of networks this Sunday, which seems odd to me.

The odd thing is that CBS has the doubleheader this week for the second week in a row. I thought the networks alternated weeks, but that’s not the case. There are also three late games on the CBS networks compared to, as I mentioned, just one on the FOX side. With that, here’s your map for this week. The Dolphins/Vikings game is represented by the orange area on this map which, as always, is brought to you by the good folks at 506 Sports.

Now, as a reminder, since CBS has another doubleheader, there will be no be an early game on your local FOX affiliate if the Dolphins/Vikings game is shown locally in your area. All other games on the FOX map above are in the first part of the window.

If you’re outside the orange area, you’ll need to find the game on YouTube TV Sunday Ticket.

I’m also happy to announce that, thanks to popular demand, starting Sunday, we’ll go back to having our Open Threads for the windows the Vikings don’t play as regular posts instead of putting them in the Feed like we did during the season. So, we’ll get that post up on Sunday morning around here 11:30 AM Centralthat the Open Thread for our game drops to the usual 30 minutes before kickoff, at 2:30 PM Central.

The Vikings will be back early in Week 5, but some viewers may be hosed again for reasons we’ll explain in next week’s post. I’ll try to get that on Wednesday when 506 Sports releases their maps.
