MLB Wild Card Game 2 Picks, Betting Trends and Best Bets for Wednesday

⚾ Elimination Games Reach Fast

Those elimination games in the Wild Card round come at you quickly — just like today.

Adam Burke, VSiN’s baseball bigfoot, looks at a Game 2 quadrupleheader:

“Aggressive pitcher usage was the story Tuesday. White Sox manager Will Venable used ace reliever Grant Taylor for 2.1 innings and 54 pitches. Yankees skipper Aaron Boone let Cam Schlittler throw 117 pitches in a tight game and he was amazing as far as the offense went. And, while he didn’t get a lead off Janhotting, Don Ma-tting was leading Janhotting. 7th.

“The winner of Game 1 in the best-of-three Wild Card round is 15-1 for the series, which is why managers are going all out to try to win Tuesday. But, it could have an impact on Wednesday, especially for the White Sox with Taylor likely unavailable.

“The Phillies could send Cristopher Sanchez and the Astros could use Hunter Brown in hopes of staying alive. Expect both to go as long as possible.

“As far as the Cubs go, if you lose, you might as well be discouraged so all the high-leverage relievers are fresh for Game 2, especially starting Kevin Gausman, who had a 4.83 ERA over 50.1 innings in Chicago after the trade deadline.”

🏈 Who Should You Use on This Week’s Survivor?

☠️ Miss Circa Survivor? There’s Another Way

What if you didn’t travel to Las Vegas to sign up for Circa Survivor? Or what if you did — and your entry is one of the 18,725 already deleted?

There’s another way to get in on the action.

Circa Sports announced that Wednesday Survivor Sweat is the official marketplace for its football tournamentswhich allows bettors to buy and sell interests in live Circa Survivor, Circa Million and Grandissimo entries.

When I looked at the market, there was 152 Survivor entries for saleat different prices depending on the teams still available and how many entries the seller is offering.

>> Shop the Survivor Sweat Marketplace

And it’s not limited to Survivor. I found it 1% of a high-stakes Grandissimo entry listed for $5,000 and 80% of a Circa Million entry with a 10-5 record for $8,000.

Think of it like buying — or selling — a piece of a 3-year-old during Kentucky Derby prep season.

You still have to choose the right horse at the right price.

That’s where it gets interesting for us. VSiN’s Jason Latus developed his own formula for rating the value of every remaining Survivor entry.
