Starting left guard Kayode Awosika, who hasn’t played since being injured in Week Two, logged his second limited practice session of the week on Thursday and looks ready to return to the field against the Texans on Sunday.
Awosika has played well in his 1+ game to start the season and his presence should be a nice addition back to the front five. Unfortunately, what looks like his first game back will be one heck of a wake-up call to the Houston front seven. As much as the Texans love to run plays up front, Awosika will definitely see the likes of Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter. That’s a very welcome back.
Rookie wideout Brenen Thompson remains a DNP with quad and hamstring injuries. He hasn’t played in over a month and as a Mike McDaniel guy from the previous draft, it remains a tough look.
Finally, both David Njoku and Denzel Perryman logged limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Both can be activated and return to the field on Sunday, as well.
