Week 8 is upon us, and unfortunately it started with another win from an NFC North team. The Green Bay Packers swept the Carolina Panthers to move to 5-3 on the season, somehow tightening the NFC North standings. But there will undoubtedly be more movement in the division when the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions face off in the 1 pm ET timeslot Sunday afternoon.
That’s far from the only remaining interesting matchup of Week 8. There are a ton of them. Also in the 1 pm ET window is the Ravens vs. Bills in a big AFC showdown that features the return of Lamar Jackson from injury. Additionally, the Browns vs. Steelers is a surprisingly important matchup, as the two teams share the division lead at 5-2. In another important divisional game, the NFC South has a big game in the Falcons vs. Buccaneers.
The late-afternoon window consists of just three games: Chargers vs. Rams in battle for Los Angeles, Chiefs vs. Broncos in a big AFC West game, and Patriots vs. Dolphins.
Sunday ends with a very disappointing NFC East game between the Eagles and Commanders, but the schedule makers give us Monday night’s big game between the Bears and Seahawks.
