Texans placed WR Jaylin Noel on IR with his turf toe. That knocks him out for at least 4 games, but the Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan M Alexander reports that Noel is expected to be out for the rest of the season.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Tough break for a second-year receiver coming up, with 3-85-0, 5-41-1, and 4-107-1 lines in his last three healthy games.
We’ll keep an eye on Noel’s recovery, but he’ll likely be ready for all or most of the 2027 offseason. He should stay hidden in dynasty leagues.
Other Winners and Losers
Noel plays almost exclusively in 3-WR sets for Houston, running 71% of his routes from the slot.
WR Xavier Hutchinson (50% slot routes) is the most natural replacement for Noel, but we can see the Texans using a variety of receivers inside. They can also deploy more multi-TE sets.
Nico Collins and Marvin Harrison Jr. remains the only Houston WRs worth rostering in the redraft.
