Darien Porter is definitely the starter again

Here’s a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2025 draft class fared in Sunday’s 33-30 home loss to the Buffalo Bills and what to look for Sunday at home against the Los Angeles Rams:

Ashton Jeanty:

The No. 6 overall draft pick played 58 percent of the snaps Sunday (below his season average) even though he declared himself as healthy as he has been this season. However, Jeanty continued to struggle on the ground as he had 10 carries for 22 yards. His drop issues continued in the passing game. He does have his good moments, but overall his impact continues to be lacking.

Jack Bech:

The second-round pick is on injured reserve with a broken forearm and will likely be out for several weeks.

Darien Porter:

The third-round pick played 79 percent of the defensive snaps and he continued to play more than rookie Zeke Masses. So, Porter got his starting job back. It could be a fluid situation and Porter needs to prove he’s worthy of keeping the starting gig. Coach Klint Kubiak said he wants Proter to join.

Caleb Rogers:

The third-round pick filled in for the benched Jackson Powers-Johnson and Rogers played every snap for his second straight start of the season. Kubiak said Monday that there was good and bad in Rogers’ performance against Buffalo, but the coach said Rogers is ready. It remains to be seen if this shakeup will continue.

Charles Grant:

The offensive lineman, taken in the third round, didn’t play as much on offense as usual, but he did log six snaps on special teams.

Don’t Thornton:

The wide receiver, taken in the fourth round, is in a 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve. Thornton is coming back from a hamstring injury and is being helped to activate this week.

Tonka Hemingway:

The fourth-round pick did not play in Week 6 because of a concussion he suffered in Week 5. He could return to play against the Rams and resume his starting role.

JJ Pegues:

The defensive tackle, taken in the sixth round, was active for the second time this season, partly because of Hemingway’s absence. He played three snaps against Buffalo.

Cody Lindenberg:

The seventh-round pick played 19 snaps on special teams.
