On Saturday afternoon, the Chargers announced a series of roster moves ahead of their Week Five tilt with the Denver Broncos.
First, the team activated both fullback Scott Matlock and offensive lineman Branson Taylor from the reserve/injured list. Both players were on IR for the first four weeks of the season.
In a related move, the Chargers are placing backup quarterback Trey Lance and offensive guard Trevor Penning on IR. With left tackle Rashawn Slater placed on IR earlier in the week, the team is using his vacated spot to sign wideout Theo Wease to the active roster, as well.
The Chargers also elevated offensive tackle Daniel Brunskill and cornerback Isas Waxter to the game day roster. This will be the first of two elevations for each player.
