3 teams are guaranteed to lose in Week 5 of the 2026 NFL Season

We’re officially moving into Week 5 of the 2026 NFL Season, and in our ‘guaranteed winner’ series, we’re also off to a slow start, as we predicted a win for the Dallas Cowboys, but the Cowboys played a terrible game and lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So, we definitely need to rebound here. Fortunately, there are a few other matchups that seem easy to predict, and we can still carve out a good performance in our guaranteed win/lose weekly series this week.

After talking about the teams we believe are guaranteed to win, let’s talk about some teams we believe are guaranteed to lose.

These three teams have no chance to win in Week 5

Tennessee Titans (vs. Houston Texans)

The really funny thing here is that it’s possible that both Tennessee and Houston won’t win in Week 5. What if they tie???

In all seriousness, the Titans and Texans are no match for 0-4 teams. Honestly, Houston is much, much better than their record suggests. The roster is among the most talented in the NFL, and despite starting 0-3 last year, Houston found a way to finish 12-5.

They’ve dealt with slow starts in the CJ Stroud-DeMeco Ryans era before, and this might just be one of those times. The Titans, on the other hand, are in the first year of the Robert Saleh era, and while the defensive returns aren’t bad, the offense is just awful.

We could be approaching a scenario where Cam Ward could be trending towards ‘bust’ status, and while it’s still early in his NFL career, there hasn’t been much growth from Ward. While no one is going to sit and watch this game with a ton of excitement, Houston is better across the board and should be able to win this one.

As for the Titans, they fall to 0-5 on the season, and perhaps at that point, some tougher conversations need to be had.

Prediction: Texans win 24-17
