The Cleveland Browns are 5-2 entering a pivotal matchup in Pittsburgh against the Steelers in Week 8. The last thing on their mind is making any “sales” before the NFL trade deadline, but wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is likely to get some interest.
The latest surrounding the Browns’ willingness to trade Jeudy is the…they are not.
That doesn’t mean things won’t or won’t change before November 10. The Browns have every reason to stay as competitive as possible right now. Sending out Jeudy, even if his role is limited at this point in the year, would send an inherently negative message about belief in a team that is currently 5-2.
As we approach the Nov. 10 deadline, there are at least a handful of teams that may be desperate enough to make the Browns the kind of offer they don’t want to turn down for Jeudy.
3 teams that need Jerry Jeudy at the 2026 NFL trade deadline
1. Los Angeles Rams
With Davante Adams currently dealing with an injury, and Puka Nacua dealing with a history of injuries, the Los Angeles Rams are a team that many expect to be active in the pursuit of wide receivers before the trade deadline.
Matthew Stafford loves attacking downfield, and Jeudy is one of the best receivers in the NFL at getting open on longer routes.
He may not be as physical as the Rams typically like at the receiver position, but Jeudy can definitely help that group and be a nice backup option whenever Adams and Nacua are healthy.
2. Kansas City Chiefs
After Tyquan Thornton went down with an injury, the need for the Chiefs to land a receiver increased significantly.
This is already a team that has struggled with consistency at the receiver position for Patrick Mahomes, but Thornton has definitely become someone he can rely on with his throws downfield. That option won’t be available to Mahomes and the Chiefs this season after Thornton’s gruesome injury a few weeks ago.
The Chiefs have been linked to several receivers since Brian Thomas Jr. to Josh Downs, and if they’re that serious about receiver help, you have to think GM Brett Veach will call the Browns about Jeudy, too.
3. Washington Commanders
Entering Week 8 of the season with a 1-4-1 record, the Washington Commanders aren’t exactly the team everyone is looking at as a potential “buyer” at the trade deadline. But with the Giants and Eagles using backup QBs and the Cowboys defense as bad as it is, why don’t the Commanders still view their own division as wide open?
They lost Terry McLaurin to injury in their last game against the 49ers, and they had questions at receiver before that.
The injury edge to McLaurin necessitates a move to upgrade at receiver, though players like Treylon Burks and Antonio Williams will have expanded roles with veteran Stefon Diggs also moving forward.
