Daily Norseman Reacts Survey: What’s the Deal With the Offense?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year, we ask the most plugged-in fans and Vikings fans across the country.

It’s time for this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey questions, where we’re asking you to frequent the internet’s best Minnesota Vikings football-focused website for your opinions on what’s going on with our favorite football team.

We have two questions for you this week, and the first, as always, is how confident you are in the current direction of our favorite team. The Vikings, once again, won ugly in Week 3 when they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road by a score of 23-16. It was another struggle for the offense, though the weather wasn’t a factor this time, as moving the ball once again proved difficult. However, thanks to the defense and special teams, the purple pushed their record to 3-0 to start the season and remain one of only two undefeated teams in the NFC heading into Week 4. They are heavy favorites to maintain that posture this week, as they host the winless Miami Dolphins at US Bank Stadium this coming Sunday.

Speaking of guilt, they’re the subject of our other question for this week, specifically. . .Jerry Seinfeld’s best voice. . .what’s the deal with the Vikings’ offense? (Some of you younger folks may need to Google “Jerry Seinfeld,” and that’s fine.) Through the first three weeks of the season, the Vikings were dead last in the NFL in total offense and dead last in passing yardage, though they were a respectable 16th in rushing yardage. The team has produced just one offensive touchdown in the last two games. They are second-to-last in third-down percentage (only Green Bay is worse, and not by much), including going just 5-of-28 on third down the past two weeks. If they hadn’t gone 8-of-15 on third down in Week 1, the numbers would have been even bleaker on that front.

Suffice it to say, there is a many of Minnesota’s crime problems right now, but we want to know what you think largest the problem is on the side of the ball.

As always, we invite you to make your voice heard in our survey for this week by voting in our polls, either here or in the Feed, and by sounding off in the comments section here.

Have at it, ladies and gentlemen! We’ll have answers to our questions for you before kickoff on Sunday afternoon.

What is the biggest offensive problem?

Do you trust the Vikings?

Are you sure the Vikings are headed in the right direction?

Each week of the season, we’ll ask fans if they think the team is moving in the right direction. This allows us to monitor the level of confidence in the fan base throughout the season and analyze what events have the greatest impact on fan support.
