Denver Broncos: Alex Singleton named AFC Defensive Player of the Month

The Denver Broncos have been on a tear through October, winning all of their games with a defense that is resurgent to its dominant form of the past two seasons. The man in the middle of that defense, Alex Singleton, has been a big part of that rise.

During the entire month of October, Singleton had one game where he did not log double-digit tackles in a game. But more than that, his pressures on the quarterback also jumped significantly during that span. Because of that, he was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for October!

Let’s look back at his October stats:

He’s not slowing down either. He just finished against the Chiefs with 14 total tackles, 1 TFL, 1 QBHit, 1 Sack, and 1 PD. He also leads the league in total tackles by a wide margin with 101 total tackles. Second place was back at 82. Singleton was in beast mode there.

Singleton became the first player since Pat Surtain II in 2024 to be awarded the AFC Defensive Player of the Month. Von Miller has the most of those awards — by far — with four. Champ Bailey was second with two.
