Luther Burden torches Seattle for 7-56-1 and Another WR1 Week

Luther Burden matched TE Colston Loveland for the team lead in targets, hauling in seven of nine for 56 yards and a TD. He finished with 18.6 PPR points against a Seahawks defense that had given up more than 18 PPR points to only two WRs before. Burden ranks as a WR1 for a consecutive week.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Slow Start is History

Burden has overcome a slow start, finishing as WR2 or better in four of the last six weeks and moving up to WR17 at 14.5 PPR points per game.

He entered the week with a 21.0% target share which was the 35th highest mark among WRs, but he did so with the 16th highest receiving yards per game mark with 70.1. Which can usually indicate an increase in target volume ahead.

He was out-gained by fellow WR Rome Odunze who finished with 87 yards on 4 receptions, but Burden’s first quarter TD helped finish as the Bears’ highest scoring WR for the fourth straight week.

He’s shown the ability to work even against top-ranked defenses, which will once again come in the form of a Buccaneers defense that gives up the fourth-most points to WRs.
