Titans RB Tony Pollard followed up his huge Week 7 with an almost as big Week 8. He rushed 21 times for 117 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday’s OT loss to the Bengals, adding 20 yards on 3 catches on 5 targets.
Pollard scores from Distance Again
Pollard gave up 35% of his yardage and 35% of his fantasy scoring on a single 41-yard TD scamper.
That marked the second straight game in which Pollard scored from more than 30 yards, indicating both skill and luck.
Before Week 7, however, Pollard didn’t have a run longer than 18 yards.
He also averaged 1.3 receptions per game through the first six contests before notching 3 catches each of the past two weeks.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Looks Like A Sellout
Should we start believing in Pollard’s second consecutive strong outing? Cincinnati, after all, entered Sunday as the No. 7 defense in rush DVOA.
However, Pollard entered Week 7 averaging 14.5 carries, 58.2 rushing yards, 0.2 TDs.
Pollard’s workload benefited from Tyjae Spears’ knee injury. After playing less than 60% of Tennessee’s offensive snaps in each of the first five games, he has shot 75.6%, 74.2%, and 81.8% over the last three weeks. Spears left the first of those contests early and then missed the previous two.
Pollard has also had carry shares of over 82% in four straight games now.
That aspect should remain strong even after Spears returns. However, Pollard’s receptions may be lost.
Further complicating his outlook is the fact that Jacksonville awaits two of the three games following Tennessee’s Week 9 sweep.
If Pollard isn’t traded right now, he’ll be facing a defense that ranks first in run-defense DVOA and likely a negative game script.
We called Pollard a “sell” in our latest article on trade targets. He should be a more attractive asset now.
