The Colts started by trading eight-time Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks. Then they traded DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers when he returned to the team that drafted him.
Now, Downs wants out. The Colts selected Downs in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft after he played for the North Carolina Tar Heels in college.
Downs’ best season came in 2024, when he had 72 receptions for 803 yards and 5 touchdowns. This season, he has just 26 catches for 307 yards with zero scores.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz said there is interest in Downs, although it’s unlikely he’ll move this week.
