Omar Cooper Jr won Pepsi Rookie of the Week honors from the NFL this week. It’s another reminder that the New York Jets have a very bright future.
Jets editorial contributor Amanda Vogt wrote, “Cooper and rookie TE Kenyon Sadiq, who won the belt in Week 3, are the third rookie tandem in Jets history to each record a 100-yard receiving game in a season. Cooper and Sadiq are the only rookies in NFL history to each have a 100-yard career game.”
The Jets have weapons at wide receiver, talent at running back, juice at tight end, and some intriguing building blocks on the offensive line. Clearly, the missing piece is a long-term quarterback. The Jets are in position to check that item off the bucket list during the 2027 NFL Draft.
2-4 isn’t a great start, but there are still 11 games left in the 2026 regular season to rewrite the script.
