If you think today is going to be messy, just wait. The rosters will get even uglier in two weeks when the byes begin. We’ll have just as many injuries to deal with, and we’ll have to manage the absence of entire NFL teams. So enjoy the abundance while you can, friends. How can you not love this game?
One of the biggest injury situations remains unclear as we head into Sunday, with Rams WR Puka Nacua’s status still up in the air after he missed Monday’s game against the Giants. So far, it’s not looking good as he carries a dubious designation on the injury report. Stay tuned ahead of LA’s Sunday night game against the Denver Broncos.
Let’s take a look at the fantasy actives and inactives for Week 3:
ACTIVE, 1 pm ET
- WR DJ MooreBuffalo Bills – Moore never misses games, so his status shouldn’t be a huge surprise.
- WR Jalen CokerCarolina Panthers – He’s caught eight passes in each of his first two games and thus looks unbeatable.
- WR Malik NabersNew York Giants – He was never in danger of missing this week, although he did require shoulder maintenance in last Monday’s loss to the Rams.
- RB Tyjae SpearsTennessee Titans – Spears is battling an ankle issue, but he’ll fight through it. Respectfully, you should review whatever process led you to develop an interest in Tennessee’s backfield.
- WR Michael PittmanPittsburgh Steelers – He is reportedly dealing with a plantar fascia flare-up, which kept him out of last week’s game. Probably not working at 100%.
- QB Sam DarnoldSeattle Seahawks – Darnold is back from his glute/hip/lower-extremity issue, so the Seahawks will put Drew Lock back in the holster. What a ride this is.
- RB Jadarian PriceSeattle Seahawks – Good to go after being active in practices. His shoulder issue seems to be behind him. Price has a stellar matchup on deck in Washington.
INACTIVE, 1 pm ET
- WR Nico CollinsHouston Texans – He’s been sidelined with a hamstring issue for two straight games, but has reason to hope for a Week 4 return. However, that doesn’t help you now. Dalton Schultz and Xavier Hutchinson led the team in targets in his absence last week.
- WR Adonai MitchellNew York Jets – Mitchell is coming off a 12-target game, but he suffered a finger injury in practice this week and is unavailable for a prime matchup against Detroit. Isaiah Williams and rookie TE Kenyon Sadiq should improve.
- WR Alec PierceIndianapolis Colts – Pierce aggravated his heel injury last week and was placed on IR. He will be missed for many weeks. Laquon Treadwell and/or Darius Slayton should serve as vertical threats for Indy, so that’s a significant downgrade.
- WR Caleb DouglasMiami Dolphins – Douglas is the one Miami receiver we can trust quite a bit, but now he’s coming down with an ankle sprain. Malik Washington could be flexed in the deepest league.
- RB Rico DowdlePittsburgh Steelers – He didn’t practice this week, due to a foot injury that we haven’t called yet turf toe (but there are so many things you can do with a toe). Jaylen Warren will be asked to absorb all the work he can possibly handle.
- RB Devin SingletaryNew York Giants – Hopefully your lineup doesn’t depend on Singletary, but if it does, it’s time for a backup plan.
- QB Jayden DanielsWashington Commanders – An injury to his non-throwing elbow will sideline him this week, which is no surprise. Marcus Mariota started a brutal game in Seattle.
- THE Chig OkonkwoWashington Commanders – Another week on the shelf with a hamstring injury. Avoid Commanders this week if you can. Rookie receiver Antonio Williams has been a player of interest, but Seattle is a stay-away matchup.
