Commander right guard Sam Cosmi did not travel to London for the Week 4 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. He was in the concussion protocol and was concussed earlier in the week while recovering a violent hit delivered by his own teammate, where running back Kaytron Allen accidentally ran into him.
Losing one of the NFL’s best guards is an issue in the running game in particular, with rookie Matt Gulbin struggling as his replacement.

Cosmi was a full participant in practice on Thursday and spoke to the media afterwards, indicating what should be considered a high possibility that he will play.
That will be a huge boon for the Commanders, who need stability and quality working for them up front. Cosmi spoke about the concussion scare this season in an interview with 7News reporter Scott Abraham, especially after he suffered last year.
Guard/center Nick Allegretti is unavailable with hip and Achilles injuries after being limited the previous day. Receivers Stefon Diggs and Terry McLaurin missed their second straight practice with hamstring injuries; Not having any of those players for Sunday’s game against the Giants would be a huge setback.

Safety Nick Cross has been limited from full participation, raising eyebrows at its base.
