Eagles News: “The Nick Sirianni hot seat is real, or at least it should be”

After this day I am very conflicted. I knew the offense would be bad, but I didn’t think they would be this bad even with the injuries.

Going into the year, I, like everyone else thought that a very good elite defense could keep them afloat while the offense found it. Even though the defense appears to be back after last weeks failure, I just don’t see how they can cover up such a terrible offense.

The O Line is a bottom 5 unit, even when healthy. Everyone kills It hurts in the comments, but it’s hard to even judge him. He didn’t play well, that’s for sure, but he also had no protection and no openers all game.

I don’t know where we’ll end up after the next few games but I really think we’ll go 2-4.

I also don’t really think they should fire Sirianni in the middle of the season or anything, but if they miss the playoffs (which it looks like they will) I don’t know how you keep him. Everything he had to hang his hat on seemed to be falling off.

The NFL is in the middle this year though, especially the NFC they can only come in with a 9 win season. And that could be the worst case scenario because they will lose the first game and then have all kinds of reasons to keep Sirianni.

We have to go out the next two games 3-3 and then go on a run, or just go down and win like 5/6 games. Otherwise, let’s just continue being average.

I don’t know where things will go, because in the midst of all the suck there are positives here and there. The run game has been ok two weeks in a row, the defense has mostly come through, Cooper is booming. There are things there that make you think that if healthy they could run a little bit, but that’s definitely not going to happen.

I’ll never root for them to go away, but the feeling is that the reset will be good.
