The Indianapolis Colts are on the road, across the Atlantic Ocean to take on the Washington Commanders in London England for week 4 of the 2026 season, kickoff at 9:30 am EST.
Last week, we watched our Colts get into the winning column against a winless Houston Texans team. The game fell apart after three costly turnovers by Daniel Jones, but the defense stepped up to shut down a struggling Texans offense. It’s always and I mean always a good thing to win against a division opponent, but this was truly an ugly win.
Side Note: I’m bringing this up because I think it’s important, especially for everyone who enjoys these gameday threads. The SB Nation app makes commenting even easier, especially on these game feeds. At this point I roll my eyes every time someone asks me to download one more app, but this one really improves the experience so much that even I’m telling you that if you want to hang out here, chat, celebrate, commiserate, and argue in the comments, this app is definitely worth your time. What we saw last week wasn’t pretty, but it’s better than a loss. Perhaps the best news to come out of the past week is that the Houston Texans’ offense is so bad that they are considering giving quarterback CJ Stroud a long-term, market-setting extension after the season. That’s fantastic news, I hope they do! Regardless, this week Indy will play another opponent who looks at least slightly hobbled on paper.
The Washington Commanders come into week four down star quarterback Jayden Daniels, star receiver Terry McLaurin, starting guard Sam Cosmi, and former Colt and current starting safety Nick Cross. Everyone will miss today’s game due to injury. The Colts just landed Keenan Allen.
I doubt what we saw last week was a watershed moment for the 2026 Colts, particularly a defensive unit that still doesn’t seem to know things. I think the Commanders are capable of winning any Sunday with Marcus Mariota at the helm and the international games are usually low scoring and always weird. Hopefully the Colts can take advantage of Washington’s injury situation and pull out a win in front of King Charles.
This is your fourth open thread week so hang out here, chat, celebrate, commiserate, and argue in the comments! Be wild (within reason)!
